Lakhisarai Bihar late on Wednesday night was a gruesome road accident. Eight people were killed in the accident in Haldi Bazar, while many were reportedly injured. After this incident the angry people raged and jammed the road demanding compensation.

It is being told that in the Haldi bazaar the marriage of Nak Manjhi was granddaughter. The procession came from the village of Gadhivisanpur in the Thana area. Suddenly an uncontrolled truck coming from Lakhisarai took the power of the pillars first. After this, the tragedy struck the baratas, in which three Barathis and five others died.
The dead included Manjeet Kumar, Nakat Manjhi, Muskan Kumari, Umesh Manjhi, Rajiv Manjhi, Dhanraj Manjhi, Shambhu Manjhi and Gore Manjhi. Apart from this, many people, including Karukur Manjhi, Sanu Manjhi, Ritik Manjhi, Karpuri Manjhi, Matru Manjhi, were injured, who have been admitted to Sadar Hospital and Haldi PhC. The driver is absconding after the incident. The police is confiscating the truck and is engaged in further action. Meanwhile, people did a ruckus. ASP Manish Kumar, SDM Murali Prasad Singh, and a large number of policemen reached the spot, explained to the people and started further investigation.
